MISSION

The United States Green Vehicle Council (USGVC) is a non-profit organization with a mission to foster the technological, business development and deployment of electric vehicles that promote a clean and healthy environment for our present and future generations.

USGVC Team

USGVC can promotes a clean and healthy environment for our present and future generations. The management team of US Green Vehicle Council consists of :

* Lloyd L. Tran: Chairman of the Board:

Lloyd is a scientist with 20 years of experience in scientific research and business development in emerging NanoBio and Cleantech industries. He has been the president of International Association of Nanotechnology (IANANO) since 2003 and the Director of the Clean Tech Institute since 2007. Lloyd is the developer of novel Nano-Lithium Air Technology.

To help train a new generation of workforce for the industry, Lloyd has developeed the Certified Electric Vehicle Technician training program, which was approved as the first EV training program funded by the California Energy Commission.

* Les Hamasaki: Vice President

Les was the former President of SUN Utility Network, a sustainable planning and development company specializing in solar energy, communications, and clean water technologies.

He was a professional community and urban development planner, and was involved in the development of two 20-year Master Plans for the City of Los Angeles. He served as a City of Los Angeles Planning Commissioner under Mayor Riordan and an Airport Commissioner under Mayor Tom Bradley.

* Fern D. Vu: Director of Operations

L Fern has served as the Program Manager of the Cleantech Instirtute since 2008 and the Program Manager of the International Association of Nanotechnology since 2003. She is in-charge of all operational aspects of the orgnization including outreach acitivities, training programs, financial management and event management.

Fern was the director and the event organizer of the International Congress of Nanotechnology 2004-2008, Nanomedicine 2006 and 2007, Emerging Tech Investment 2008-2009, Solar America 2009, Cleantech Forum 2010, Electric Vehicle Forum 2012 and numerous seminars and events in nanotech and cleantech industries.

US Green Vehicle Council

The Council is working on the development of infrastructure for electric vehicles including the development of standards for advanced battery management systems and charging stations that support the fast and widespread usage of electric vehicles in the USA.

The USGVC is actively working on the development of workforce education and training curricula that would standardize the framework of teaching materials and examinations for certificate programs to be implemented by training organizations, community colleges and universities across the United States.

To mitigate any potential risks due to the usage of high voltage in electric vehicles, the Council is conducting training services to firemen and emergency medical technologists who might be called upon in any emergency car accidents involved an electric vehicle.

The US Green Vehicle Council accepts membership from individuals and corporations that share the same goal and mission to foster the new green economy in which green vehicles will play a major role in reducing carbon footprints, while promote clean and healthy life style.
